Myself, and a son of the President of the Halstead Bank, decided it just wasn't worth the wait. Frederick Forest had his camper parked by the Halstead Library. When walking by in the afternoon, I asked the body guard if I could get his autograph. He said he was sleeping so I said, whatever and walked on by.

I think the filming crew were not very friendly towards the people of Halstead, a population of a little over 2, I never did see any of the actors and I lived and worked in Halstead all during that time. It was very hot during the filming of the movie and while using the band in the parade scene, some of the individuals got sick from the heat because they had to re-shoot the scene over and over. I remember too that Stan had filming experience and was asked to critique the script, but his ideas were never considered. And I was also under the impression that it was a sequel or "take-off" from the movie 'Picnic' but I don't think it had anything to do with it.

About The Parade
Lots of tables both inside and outside on the boardwalk overlooking the water. Live acoustic music on Sunday in the afternoon. Service was friendly. Meals were on the tables at a reasonable time. The side of chips is of a large portion, certainly enough to feed 2 adults. Will definitely return. If you have a large group of people, it would be ideal to ring and reserve, you'd be guaranteed of seating this way, as it is quite popular and tends to become quite busy.
Friendly local staff, surroundings, beautiful water front and food to accommodate many and varied pallets. Glad to see a venue like this up and running in Bunbury. Friendly staff, top service! A great asset to Bunbury Highly recommend everyone go down and support the rebirth of The Parade! Rediscover the Parade Hotel. What's On.
What our guests are saying. Debbie Jones. And drink. And woo the women, should the opportunity arise.
This all drives Four absolutely batty. He resists, however, fearing that any complaint from him will reflect badly on him.
His managers expect him to get the job done and keep any problems to himself. Eggers has been writing fiction that tells a story of America in our present moment, and often that moment is characterized by decline. As a traveling companion, Nine is actually delightful, if roguish.
He speaks the local language and has a tendency to stay out all night at the nearest village. He comes back each morning overflowing with stories. They have exactly 12 days to complete the job, because the moment they are done, the northern leader will conduct a parade down its length celebrating the reconciliation. Everything is in place and ready to go. There is no room for error.
Nine goes missing, then is discovered, alive but in jeopardy. Four needs to figure out how to get the job done and take care of Nine or not. Without ever feeling like he has much of a choice, he becomes someone who commits his own litany of infractions, diverting off the road and engaging with the locals. The guns and medical kit and stash of just-in-case cash he inventoried so carefully at the beginning of the trip are very much needed. If Eggers called the nation in this new novel Sudan, it would have been a natural extension of that earlier work.
